Most of the fractal images in the fractal gallery were created using Ultrafractal. However, Atlantis and Dreamscape were made using the program, Bryce. Bryce is also a fractal geometry based program, but usually makes landscapes.
All fractals are dependent on fractal geometry formulas. These formulas combine to create the beautiful fractal images seen above. Special intense coloring in a fractal is part of the joy of making fractals. It is fun to see what happens to the combined layers as other colors are added. Some fractals are also worked on in Photoshop to enhance the final image. Much of the texture in Gold Miner's Gold is arrived at through the use of filters in Photoshop. Therefore, not just one program creates a fractal, it can be many programs.
